Northern Multicultural Small Business Awards 2017
Could your business be the next award winner?
The Northern Multicultural Small Business Awards celebrate the achievements and remarkable entrepreneurial spirit of the Northern Metropolitan region’s most outstanding multicultural small businesses. The event is a partnership initiative of the City of Whittlesea the Brotherhood of St Laurence and Small Chilli Marketing. The awards actively support cultural diversity, encourage business excellence and innovation and further promote social cohesiveness and community harmony within Victoria.
In 2017, multicultural small businesses located across 8 Local Government Council areas are eligible to enter the awards.
They are:
- City of Banyule
- City of Darebin
- City of Hume
- City of Moreland
- City of Whittlesea
- City of Yarra
- Nillumbik Shire Council
- City of Moonee Valley
This is a great opportunity for business professionals to meet other local business owners and grow their network. The evening includes a panel of Small Business experts discussing the successes and challenges they have faced while running their own businesses and is an opportunity to share knowledge and celebrate small business success.
This Northern Multicultural Small Business Awards attracts like-minded business people, entrepreneurs and prospective business owners who come together, share knowledge and learn from one another. It’s also an opportunity for people to be inspired by business excellence, innovation and stories of courage and resilience.
The Managing Director of the Motorsport Distributors Group, who won the NMSB Business Excellence award in 2016 explains, “Since the awards our business has secured merchandise rights to World Superbikes Phillip Island. In 2018 we will start our first international event program in the USA for the Texas Moto Grand Prix. This has been made possible by the assistance and guidance we received from Whittlesea Council, who introduced us to Government departments and businesses that assist Australian companies abroad.”
