Eligibility criteria to enter the Northern Multicultural Small Business Awards:
- The business owner or their parents must be born overseas to be eligible to enter.
- The physical business address must be located in one of these Northern Regions Local Government areas listed:
- City of Banyule
- City of Darebin
- City of Hume
- City of Moreland
- City of Whittlesea
- City of Yarra
- Nillumbik Shire Council
- The business must have a valid ABN.
- The business in the Most Promising New Businesscategory must have been operating for at least one year and up to 5 years.
- Businesses in the Business Excellencecategory must have been operating for over 5 years.

AWARD NOMINATIONS CLOSE 8th JULY 2016
This event will include a panel of business experts with an interactive question and answer session that will be facilitated by the Chair of the Victorian Multicultural Business Ministerial Council.
Even if you don’t enter the awards, come along to the event, it’s a great networking opportunity particularly if your target market is other small businesses.
The awards and networking event which will be held at 7pm on
Wednesday 17th of August at the City of Whittlesea is an opportunity to:
- Get inspired by examples of small business innovation and excellence.
- Meet with liked minded people.
- Grow your business network and generate potential sales leads.
- Share knowledge and experience.
- Have your questions answered by a panel of Small Business specialists.
- Meet Local Government representatives and representatives from partner organisations.
The awards are part of the Small Business Festival Victoria and are a partnership initiative of the Brotherhood of St Laurence, Small Chilli Marketing and City of Whittlesea.
